Why Chiropractic Care?
It can help with
01
ADJUSTMENTS
Adjustments restore the body to proper ranges of motion, reduces nerve irritability, reduces subluxation, and improves function. Everyone needs different techniques and intensity of adjustments. Adjustments are not a one size fits all.
02
ELECTRICAL MUSCLE STIMULATION
E-stim sends mild electrical pulses through the skin to help stimulate injured muscles or nerves to reduce pain. It accelerates recovery and provides relief from painful or uncomfortable symptoms. EMS helps the muscle relax and decreases spasm and helps with the adjustment. Most people love how this feels and get relief from it.
03
BRACES, PILLOWS, & TENS UNIT
We use high-quality low back braces that are the latest in technology, and teach our patients how and when to use them correctly. Tens units can be very helpful for temporary pain relief and spasm, and decrease the use of medications. The correct pillow is important to keep your body in correct alignment while you sleep.
04
INTERSEGMENTAL TRACTION
The intersegmental traction table mobilizes the spinal column while simultaneously stretching the ligaments and muscles. This helps to increase blood flow and oxygen to discs, ligaments and muscles, thereby improving balance, strength and mobility.
05
DIGITAL X-RAY
One of the most heavily relied on diagnostic techniques in chiropractic care is the X-ray. The X-ray can show exactly what is happening in the body in terms of alignment and structure. We have an in-house, state of the art, digital X-ray machine.

HEADACHES
When the individual vertebrae lose their normal motion, the joints become restricted and the muscles and ligaments surrounding the joints become shortened and lose their flexibility. This results in stiffness, tightness, muscle spasm, and loss of normal range of motion. With most patients, we can pinpoint an area in the upper back or neck where pressure will bring on headache pain. This is the area of the spine that we concentrate on to correct the problem. The treatment we use is comfortable, and we teach simple stretches and strategies to use at home or at the office to keep the headaches from returning.
NERVE PAIN
Many people are surprised to hear that there is a connection between neck pain and arm pain, or low back pain and leg pain. The brain communicates with the rest of the body through the spinal cord, which is protected by the vertebrae. The nerves branch off the spinal cord and travel between the vertebrae to control every part of the body. Pressure or irritation to a nerve that travels from the neck down the arm, or from the low back down the leg, can result in pain, numbness, tingling or "pins and needles". These symptoms are common to about 50% of our new patients. We do a very thorough history and examination to determine the cause and to assess whether the condition can be treated in our office.
CARPAL TUNNEL
Carpal tunnel syndrome develops when tissues in the wrist squeeze or compress one of the major nerves to the hand, known as the median nerve. This nerve starts in your cervical spine, which is the group of spinal bones that form your neck. The median nerve then runs all the way down your arm and through a narrow passageway in your wrist, known as the carpal tunnel. The pressure to the nerve can occur at several points along the way, including in your cervical spine or in the carpal tunnel. Diagnosing carpal tunnel syndrome can be difficult because it is often impossible to pinpoint its exact cause, but chiropractors have special expertise in nerve entrapment syndromes, like carpal tunnel syndrome.
NECK/BACK PAIN
Chiropractic is the only form of treatment that locates the exact source of pain along your spine. Once the problem is determined, the treatment is simply to restore the normal motion to that specific joint. The doctor does this by applying pressure with his or her hands. This is what is referred to as the adjustment. It is a very natural treatment that aligns the joint and restores the normal motion of the joint. Other therapies we use to bring relief include moist hot packs, electrical muscle stimulation, roller tables, ultrasound, traction, soft tissue massage, and trigger point therapy.
WHIPLASH
Auto injuries are a common cause of significant pain and dysfunction can cause problems years later. People often do not connect the pain we are experiencing to a specific incident. Just because the pain lessens does not mean the joints are functioning properly. When joints lose their normal motion it can cause long-term problems that cannot be fully corrected if left untreated. A very thorough history and examination are performed to determine the appropriate treatment for your condition. We work with a large network of specialists to give you access to comprehensive tests to diagnose your condition and alleviate your pain. These tests include x-ray, MRI, Cat Scan, nerve conduction tests, and ultrasound, among others.
ARTHRITIS
Arthritis affects your joints, causing chronic pain, stiffness, and swelling that often worsens over time. There are many types of arthritis — more than 100, in fact, although some are exceedingly rare. Arthritis is an incurable disorder, but with expert support, you can learn how to manage your condition. Our approaches reduce pain and increase mobility by targeting the source of your discomfort.
